Counting your Chickens is a quest in Divinity: Original Sin II. It is part of the chronicle Mastering the Source and can be initiated by speaking with a hen outside of Driftwood during Act Two.

Objectives

Quest content may vary based on party choices.

Find the hens' eggs.
  • A brood of panicking hens lost their eggs.
Retrieve the untainted egg.
  • We found tainted chicken eggs. They hatch Voidlings.
Give the hens the untainted egg.
  • We picked up the untainted egg.
Return to the hens to check on the egg.
  • We returned the surviving egg to the brood.
Approach the Voidling chick.
  • A Voidling hatched from the egg. It doesn't seem hostile... yet.
Be a mother to the Voidling chick.
  • The Voidling is following us.
Bring the Voidling chick to its father.
  • The chick's father, a 'special' rooster, might be able to help it.
