Counting your Chickens is a quest in Divinity: Original Sin II. It is part of the chronicle Mastering the Source.

Objectives

Quest content may vary based on party choices.

Find the hens' eggs.
A brood of panicking hens lost their eggs.

Retrieve the untainted egg.
We found tainted chicken eggs. They hatch Voidlings.

Give the hens the untainted egg.
We picked up the untainted egg.

Return to the hens to check on the egg.
We returned the surviving egg to the brood.

Approach the Voidling chick.
A Voidling hatched from the egg. It doesn't seem hostile... yet.

Be a mother to the Voidling chick.
The Voidling is following us.

Bring the Voidling chick to its father.
The chick's father, a 'special' rooster, might be able to help it.

Decide the Voidling chick's fate.
The Voidling's father told us the chick was an abomination that should die.

Quest complete.
We killed the chick. The rooster gave us a reward.
